New Years Eve

Phil's family has made a new tradition for New Years over the past few years based off the one they grew up with as kids. We met up about 6:00 to eat their traditional Spanish dinner to welcome the new year. We had a toast at before dinner with sparkling cider. All the kids even had little glasses to say cheers with too. Bridger dumped his all over the floor unfortunately.. so he went right back to the sippy cup. Dinner was really good and there was a ton of food left over. Jen got out all her nice china and set the table up so pretty.

After dinner the kids played for a while, and then they did a lot of dancing. Bridger loved it! His favorite when we went around in a circle (like in ring around the rosie) and then we all go to the middle and come back out. Bridger was laughing so hard that he was barely standing. We were having to almost drag him around.

After dancing for a while we did a "count down" early for the new year. The kids all seemed to really enjoy it. We all had a great time. Then we went home and got ready for bed. Bridger went to sleep pretty quick. Phil watched TV and I fell asleep. Next thing I knew I was waking up to the dang neighbor kids yelling and running in front of our windows saying "Happy New Year!" So ya.. we were pretty lame and didn't even stay up to see the ball drop. Then again I did have to be to work at 5:00 the next say, so I gave myself a little credit for that.
