We made a trip to Idaho last weekend to see baby Payden blessed. The trip was a lot of fun although it had a rocky start. We had car problems galore! Then again, that's nothing new in our life. With Kyle's help hopefully our car is fixed for good now.
Bridger did really well the whole drive up. I was impressed. He mostly just played with his toys the whole time. I brought movies for him to just in case. We made it to Pocatello before we had to put on a movie for him, and that was only because he noticed the case and wanted to watch it. We got checked into our hotel and headed out to Menan to see the Hunting clan. Bridger made himself right at home at Grandma Hunting's. She had a basket of toys to play with and he was set. Then We drove around the fields to see all the cows, baby cows, Ron's horse and her baby. Bridger got to ride on the tractor with Ron for a little bit. He seemed a little scared, but was to excited that he just had to go with him. He couldn't stop smiling about it when he got back.
Later the night we headed home to get rest for the big day!! Payden's blessing was really nice there were quite a few people there. The weather was pretty nice out, so you can imagine Bridger just wanted to be outside. He spotted some equipment on the other end of the field from the town hall and made me follow him out there to get a closer look.
Once I finally got him to come back with me we got a cute picture of all the Boyer grand kids! Since Bridger wanted to be outside and Landon wanted to get up and play too this was the best one I got.
After lunch while everyone was cleaning up, Phil made up a game for the kids to play in the back of the pick up. It was his way of keeping the kids contained, but having fun. Meanwhile me and Brittney were changing Payden's massive poopy diaperin the pick up... I don't think I helped much, sorry Brittney.
Then we headed back to the hotel and Bridger fell asleep on the way back. He had a nice long nap.
We made sure to get a hotel with an indoor pool so we could have some cheap fun with Bridger. We were really surprised how fast he picked up on what the pool was, and that if he had his swimsuit on it meant time to go to the pool. He didn't always get his pants on right though.. he's still learning.
With the pool being and indoor pool it sure wasn't as warm as we think it
should have been. Kids don't care though. They still love it and never
want to get out! Bridger's lips started turning colors and that's when
we said enough and tried to warm him up in the hot tub before going back
to the room.
Monday morning we packed up the pick-up and headed back out to Menan for a little more time with the Hunting's. Before we went we stopped to see the falls, chase the ducks, and play on the playground. We were even able to put Bridger down for a nap and play some games with Ron and Brittney.
We took one last little tour of the farm. We were hoping to see a baby cow being born, but apparently it died. So we walked around the hay for a little while trying to find the baby kittens.
This is the reason we came...
We haven't seen these guys since last summer! It was so much fun to see
them and there new little addition! I can't wait to get with the whole
family again. Hopefully sometime soon when our new addition arrives this fall.
