The 4th of July finally came! We stayed the night at Cliff and Tracy's the night before to make sure we would be on time for the parade the next morning. We made the big mistake of not going to bed until after midnight though. Bridger of course was sure to wake us up at 7:30. We got up and watched them blow up the bouncy houses for us, started breakfast, cleaned that up, got ready to go and headed to the parade. It was so hot outside. I felt like I was sweating off all my make up before we even started to walk over to the Parade. All the kids really enjoyed it and Bridger's favorite part was... can you guess? The FIRETRUCKS of course! He couldn't get enough of them. The kids got a little bit of candy, but since we were at the very end of the parade everyone was tired by the time they got to us. It wasn't a very lively parade this year. There was a lot of little dumb things and then right when we decided to leave all the floats finally came threw.
| Phil taught Bridger how to cover his heart when the flag came by. |
| This is how we loaded all the chairs and umbrellas to the parade. That thing was piled high. |
We played a few games and forgot that we still needed to have dinner. Around 8:00 we finally dished up dinner. Afterwards the kids watched a movie on the projector outside until the fireworks started. Bridger really enjoyed the fireworks to. He's still asking to see the "ire works" and the "boom boom!" He thinks that we can always see fireworks and Grandmas house now.
