Parade or Homes

Every summer they do a Parade of Homes. You buy tickets and get a map of new homes that you can go in and tour. Last time I remember they had some kid rooms that were dedicated to kids who had cancer. There was a little boy who loved firetrucks so the whole room was about firetrucks. It was really cool. This year I went with Des, Lindsey, and Jen. We got a little bit of a late start and then with NO help from the GPS.. since it led us a stray a few times.. we were only able to go inside a few houses. The first one was really big , but a lot of wastes space. I wasn't very impressed. The second house was my favorite! It had the cool colors and a beachy feel. This is the kitchen and the backyard.



This was just part of the backyard.. it was really nice. I don't know if you can tell but there's a zip line that goes from the top left all the way down to the swing set. They also had a hot tub and a fire pit with seating all around it. It also had a great view from the WRAP AROUND DECK!! My FAVORITE feature!



This window is right by the stairs. I could just picture little kids looking out it to see who was at the door. It looked really Nice.

This is the toy/playroom.. They had tons of built in shelves and that desk for homework.


The last house we went to was.. well a different style than I really like. It was really modern and I don't even know what to say about it. I did like the kitchen and that's about it. I loved the cool black splash with the contrast of the rich dark cabinets. I can't decided if I like the white in the first house or the dark better now.

Well I wish we could have gone to more houses.  I feel like I got  more out of the houses and liked more of them than I did this time. There's always next year!! Brittney.. that means you can come with me! :) Start planning now. lol.
