Bridger's 2nd Birthday

Bridger is 2!!

I can't believe my little big boy is 2 years old already!! Then i think about #2 being on the way and I'm happy that he will be almost 2 and a half by then. I don't know how people can have kids much closer together than that. He's so busy and hard to keep up with already without another one in my arms. I'm in big trouble! He's growing up so fast. It's exciting and sad at the same time, because I know he will never do some of those cute things again. He's talking really well. He's learning his colors and shapes right now. He loves to say orange. I'm thinking it might be his favorite color. He'll know a lot of colors one day, then the next he says everything is orange or red. That drives me crazy, because that's usually when I'm trying to show people he knows it. Dang kids always like to prove you wrong. Shapes he's doing okay with. He knows circles, triangles, stars, and sometimes squares. He learned from Mickey Mouse about octagons and he sure loves to say that word too. Almost every day he says a word that I had no idea he knew.

I think that Bridger had a really good birthday. He loved his McQueen balloon. We were going to get to the zoo first thing in the morning so that it would be a little bit cooler, and it was also the opening day of Rocky Shore. Bridger, of course to throw us off, slept in a little bit. Then we got a few phone calls, and Bridger found his presents. So before we left he had to open one. He picked his cash register and then didn't want to leave. He just wanted to keep playing with it.

So needless to say by the time we got to the zoo it was already packed. We had to park across the street. It wasn't as bad inside as we thought it would be though. Bridger was really getting a kick out of the monkey that's sitting in the window. Every time that Bridger would lift up his feet the monkey would sit up taller and sometimes back up into the tree.

We decided to see if Bridger would stay sitting for the bird show. The problem with that was we had to sit for 10 minutes before it started. He was a little antsy and ready to move around right before it started. Once the birds started flying over us he was sucked in. He was laughing and loved it. He actually sat through the whole thing.

The new Polar Bear

The fan mister, I guess that's what it's called. Bridger was going crazy over it.

He actually blew out the candle in one try!

One of his favorite toys he got!

I found him a little bit later eating his cake.. or should I say frosting.
