Phil and I had a pretty good Valentines day. I wasn't expecting to get anything when Phil walked in with a HUGE bag and some flowers. He got me some chocolate and a salad spinner which I've been wanting forever especially now that we have to have salad every night and I hate washing and drying the lettuce. I got to use it last night for the first time and loved it!
I was really excited for Phil's gift, I had tossed around a few idea's and then remembered one thing he's really been wanting that I knew he'd love!!
A mini BYU helmet!! He's been wanting one to go on our dash in the truck pretty much since.. we got the truck. He was so excited which made me excited , because he usually only tells me things he "needs" as gifts instead of things he wants.
Bridger on the other hand didn't have such a great night.. It all started out with helping load the dishwasher, which he loves to do!! Every time it opens he's right there to help ya! I usually keep a close eye on him since he can only reach the silverware and I took my eye off for a minute so I could wipe down the island. Next thing I know he's crying and rubbing his eye's..
He was playing with a fork and stabbed right above his eye with it! I couldn't believe he had actually punctured himself with a fork! But he did get himself pretty good.
That's not all he did. He was so tired that night, but I was trying to keep him awake until at least 9:00 so we read stories for a while. I remember mom was sending a Valentine's present for Bridger and since it was Valentines day I wanted him to be able to open it before he went to bed. Sometimes we don't hear the doorbell when packages come and we like never use the front door so I thought I'd go check. I left Bridger by our room and went upstairs to check as I'm shutting the door I heard a BOOM! So I ran over and Yup.. he'd fallen down the stairs! He's NEVER fallen down the stairs before. I don't think he made it up more than two of them, but since he was so tired he was stumbling a lot. So I decided to calm him down and finally let him go to bed. It's the best he's slept through the night in a while!
